Local Non-Profits Expand Holiday Fund to Meet High Demand

New deadline for requests is Wednesday, Dec. 16
The Foundation has approved a total of $20,000 to be distributed to families in York County and people identified by the participants of the Foundation's bi-monthly Inspire Chat.

Due to the overwhelming response over the past few days from more than 100 local families in need, the Tramuto Foundation and its partner organization, Health eVillages, have doubled the Inspire Chat Holiday Fund to $20,000. However, in order to process requests for gift cards to be issued in time for the holiday, the deadline for submitting requests for funds has been moved up to Wednesday, Dec. 16.

Businessman, author and healthcare activist Donato Tramuto, founder of two non-profits, Health eVillages and the Tramuto Foundation, said he has been emotionally touched by the many personal stories that accompanied requests made by local families, along with the level of need that has escalated as a result of COVID-19.   The two organizations have partnered to increase the holiday fund in order to give more York County families an opportunity to have their requests approved.

Please email Tramuto Foundation Vice President of Stakeholder’s partnership, Katie Eaton at: kathryn.eaton@healthevillages.org by December 16 and provide a simple explanation as to why the individual or family is in need, along with their mailing address. The applicant will be notified and a gift card will be issued in time for Christmas.
