Diane Atwood, a highly respected healthcare reporter in Maine known for her Catching Health blog, attended last summer’s 2nd Annual Connectivity Summit on Rural Aging in Portland, where she heard Donato describe social isolation and loneliness as “the chronic health condition of the 21st century”.

Donato’s words so inspired Diane, she decided to create a podcast which she calls, Conversations About Aging. And she wanted to begin this new venture with Donato as her first interview.
